After 16 years at the helm of WRPI-FM’s weekly Monday night blues show, radio host Steve Daub is hanging up his microphone. His final broadcast of “Stormy Monday Blues” will be at 8pm tonight (Monday, May 9).

Throughout the years, Daub has been an invaluable supporter of Greater Nippertown’s blues scene, championing both national and Local 518 musicians. Thanks for all the music, Steve. We wish you all the best…

And blues fans needn’t worry. While Daub is moving on, “Stormy Monday Blues” isn’t going to disappear. Beginning next week, Sonny Speed will take over as the host of the weekly two-hour show.
