FESTIVAL/MUSIC: Albany Tulip Festival @ Washington Park, Albany. Day Two of Greater Nippertown’s annual launch of the outdoor music season. Lots of craft vendors, food trucks, people watching and, of course, bright, colorful tulips. With music by Jonathan Edwards, McKinley James, Jim Gaudet & the Railroad Boys, the Last Conspirators, Red Haired Strangers, Near Grass, Of the Atlas, Ruth Pelham, the Zucchini Brothers, more. 11am. MUSIC: “The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass” @ Immaculate Conception Parish, Hoosick Falls. That’s right, it’s a bluegrass mass written by Carol Barnett and Marisha Chamberlain and performed by Minnesota-based bluegrass band Monroe Crossing with the Battenkill Chorale. 4pm. $15.

MUSIC: Triskele @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. A Celtic-flavored Mother’s Day concert performed by… mothers. 3pm. $18.

MUSIC: Fruit Bats @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. Led By frontman Eric D. Johnson, the Sub Pop recording artists sound has been described as “rustic pop” and “bootgazer.” And it’s a double-bill with Portland, Oregon Americana band Horse Feathers. 8pm. $22.

MUSIC: Roy Eaton @ Bridge Street Theatre, Catskill. The acclaimed classical pianist performs “I Remember Mama,” special program featuring selections from Bach, Mozart and Chopin, in addition to some jazzier sounds from the pens of Bill Evans and Scott Joplin. THEATER: “A Trip to Bountiful” @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. Join the inspiring pilgrimage to the small town of Bountiful, Texas with Carrie Watts, the charming, aging widow who escapes her controlling daughter-in-law and son’s three-room Houston apartment to visit her childhood home one last time. 2pm. $20-$55.
