Three New Shows Added to the Colonial Theatre Concert Calendar

The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield has added a handful of new concerts to its current season. Tickets for all three new shows are currently on sale.

RUSTED ROOT
Saturday, May 14, 8pm

Rusted Root has sold more than 3 million albums worldwide since forming in Pittsburgh in the early ’90s. The band’s worldly style quickly charmed fans of roots music and world rock. Their 1994 album, When I Woke, went platinum and featured the hit songs “Send Me On My Way,” “Ecstasy” and “Martyr.” Throughout the ’90s the band toured with many well known performers, perhaps most notably, supporting the Jimmy Page and Robert Plant reunion tour. The band’s most recent album, The Movement, explores a variety of musical styles, crossing and merging genres. Expect new music and faithful fan favorites.

MISS B. HAVEN

Based in the Berkshires, Miss B. Haven has been working together for over 20 years, singing tunes from the ’20s to the present. With three-part harmonies reminiscent of the Andrews Sisters, the McGuire Sisters and the King Sisters, the vocal trio features Karen Auge, Wanda Libardi and Michele Marano with John Sauer on piano. The On the Stage Series features audience and artist on stage together in an intimate setting with limited seating.

Named Las Vegas’s Comedian of the Year nine years in a row, Rita Rudner’s razor sharp wit is undeniable. At the age of 15, Rudner become a dancer on Broadway. She appeared in several shows, including the original productions of “Follies” and “Mack and Mabel.” It was while in “Annie” on Broadway that she began exploring the comedy clubs of Manhattan. Since then, the award-winning comedian, actress and best-selling author has been a frequent guest on “Late Night with David Letterman” and “The Tonight Show.” Her first HBO special, “Rita Rudner’s One Night Stand,” was nominated for several awards, as was her British BBC television show which later appeared on A&E.
