MASS MoCA Announces Summer Concerts, More

April 13th, 2016, 9:30 am by Greg

MASS MoCA in North Adams has announced its summer schedule of events full of concerts, films, comedy and more. Of course, a couple of the major events – the National’s outdoor fundraiser/concert in June and the three-day FreshGrass Festival in September – but today, the folks at the sprawling modern arts campus have added 16 more exciting events to its summer calendar.

Led by Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips, the beloved indie rock quartet Luna opens the season on Memorial Day weekend in the Hunter Center on Saturday, May 28. The Guardian raves, “At their best, it’s hard to believe there is any other kind of music besides this simple, graceful, chiming chug.”

MASS MoCA is offering a 25% discount on tickets for most of their summer 2016 performances when purchased by Saturday, May 13. Discounts do not include festivals, camps or tickets to The National.
