MUSIC: Stewart Copeland, Jon Kimura Parker & Co. @ College of St. Rose’s Massry Center for the Arts, Albany. In the “Off the Score” concert, the former drummer of the Police teams up with pianist Parker and an all-star group of musicians to explore the intersection of of classical and rock with original works and compositions by Ravel, Stravinsky and others. 7:30pm. $45; $25 students.

MUSIC: Annie & the Hedonists @ the Saratoga Springs Public Library, Saratoga Springs. Playing songs of the 1930’s. 12noon. FREE.

MUSIC: The Lazy Suns @ the Crandall Public Library’s Folklife Center, Glens Falls. Led by guitarist-vocalist Marc Clayton, the country rockers are gearing up for the release of the foillow-up to their 2012 debut EP. 7pm. FREE.

READING/FILM: Barney Hoskyns @ the Spotty Dog, Hudson. The British music writer reads from his new book, “Small Town Talk: Bob Dylan, The Band, Van Morrison, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Friends in the Wild Years of Woodstock.” Followed by a screening of David McDonald’s film, “Woodstock: Can’t Get There From Here.” 6:30pm. MUSIC: Baio @ the Hollow Bar + Kitchen, Albany. Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio and friends. With Titanics. 9pm. $15.

MUSIC: The Gibson Brothers @ the Iron Horse Music Hall, Northampton. Greater Nippertown’s premier bluegrass band. 7pm. $25.

MUSIC: Bearthoven @ EMPAC at RPI, Troy. The trio of pianist Karl Larson, bassist Pat Swoboda and percussionist Matt Evans explores what the traditional jazz trio can do and mean. With Battle Trance – four tenor saxophonists. 7:30pm. $18: $13 students & seniors.

THEATER: “The Lion King” @ Proctors, Schenectady. The winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, is helmed by director Julie Taymor, who brings to life a story filled with hope and adventure set against an amazing backdrop of stunning visuals. Also featuring the choreography of Garth Fagan and the music of Elton John and Tim Rice. 8pm. $20-$170. Through Sunday, April 17.

MUSIC: Thirty Silver @ the Fuze Box, Albany. Their spring tour kicks off with a bang in support of their new EP, Lost Saints. With Almost Accounted For, Skeptic, Nice Try, Kid and Joey Harrington. 7:30pm. $12.

MUSIC: Blues ProJam @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. The April edition of the bimonthly jam features vocalist-harmonicat Kellie Rucker, singer Trisha Marie Pallo (of the Differents), guitarist Petey Hop, saxophonist Andy Stahl (of the Chris O’Leary Band), bassist Pat Perkinson and drummer Sonny Rock. All working musicians of the region are invited to sit in for a freewheeling blues jam. 8pm.

COMEDY/Fundraiser: Comedy On a High Note @ the Low Beat, Albany. The benefit for Paul Gallo features headliners G.W. Foley and Mo Haskins along with Mike Steeley, Danny Romanelli, Blaze, Seth Carr and special guest Tony Rogers. Hosted by Carlisle Carey. 8pm. $5.
