Troy Savings Bank Music Hall Announces New Concert
“Fly Trans-Love Airways… gets you there on time…”
Veteran singer-songwriter and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Donovan is slated to step into the spotlight at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall at 7:30pm on Wednesday, September 14 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the classic slab of ’60s psychedelia, Sunshine Superman.
The album not only features the title track (a No. 1 smash hit), but also the classic rock standard “Season of the Witch” and salutes to the Jefferson Airplane (“The Fat Angel”) and fab British folkie Bert Jansch (“Bert’s Blues”).
At the Music Hall, the audience will be treated to “Sunshine Superman,” and more of Donovan’s hits (including “Mellow Yellow,” “The Hurdy Gurdy Man,” “Jenifer Juniper”), as well as his legendary storytelling and other cult classic songs.
“I am delighted to be going on tour throughout North America, to thank all who have followed my work from the beginning – and all who have just discovered me now,” said Donovan in announcing the tour earlier today.
Priced at $36 & $42, tickets for Donovan’s concert at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall are scheduled to go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday, April 15.
