Despite an 11th-hour switcheroo, steel guitar great Roosevelt Collier and his all-star band drew a sizable crowd and unleashed an impressive performance in Saratoga Springs earlier this month.

The concert had initially been slated for the Hollow Bar + Kitchen in Albany on Friday, March 11, but as it turns out, the band was double-booked. Fortunately, promoters Guthrie Bell Productions made a last-minute scramble and were able to change both the date and the venue, shifting it to Putnam Den two days earlier than originally planned.

Collier, the acclaimed pedal steel guitar player from the Lee Boys, surrounded himself with an all-star array of musicians featuring keyboardist Eli Winderman and guitarist Rob Compa (both of Dopapod), as well Turkuaz’s rhythm section of bassist Taylor Shell and drummer Michelangelo Carubba.

Prog-jam faves Mister F opened the show with a mighty impressive set of their own.
