Fast food meets heavy metal at 8:30pm on Saturday, September 10 when Mac Sabbath takes the stage at Pearl Street in Northampton. The band is a foursome of rockers who dress up as characters (Ronald McDonald, Grimace, the Hamburglar and Mayor McCheese) from a certain multi-national fast food conglomerate and perform burgerized parodies of Black Sabbath songs. Tickets are $15 in advance; $18 at the door.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: From country music hitmaker to movie star, Dolly Parton’s long and diverse career is finally bringing her to Tanglewood in Lenox to kick off the 2016 concert season. Also new on the Tanglewood calendar is the big band music of Keith Lockhart & the Boston Pops swing Orchestra. Tickets for both shows go on sale on Monday (April 4).

CANCELLED: The April tour by Project/Object with Mothers of Invention alum Ike Willis and Don Preston has been cancelled, including dates at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton (Sunday, April 10) and the Hollow Bar + Kitchen in Albany.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Tickets for Ani DiFranco’s upcoming concert at The Egg in Albany go on sale at 11am on Friday (April 1).

The Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park has added several more new concerts, including BØRNS at 8pm on Wednesday, May 4 ($10.27 for the first 102 tickets sold; $15 in advance thereafter; $18 at the door); the return of Fitz & the Tantrums with Finish Ticket at 8:30pm on Thursday, June 23 ($25 in advance; $28 at the door); and electronic rockers Awolnation with Death from Above 1979 and Irontom at 8pm on Wednesday, July 13 ($32.50 in advance; $35 at the door). Tickets for all three new shows go on sale at 10am on Friday.

OPENERS: Eric Paslay has been added to the bill for Toby Keith’s Interstates & Tailgates Tour, including his stop at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Sunday, August 14.

In Northampton, the Iron Horse Music Hall welcomes back surf guitar king Dick Dale at 7pm on Monday, August 29 ($35 in advance; $40 at the door) and eclectic jazz trio the Bad Plus at 7pm on Sunday, November 10 ($20 in advance; $25 at the door).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Country music superstar Luke Bryan is returning to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and he’s bringing along Little Big Town and Dustin Lynch. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (April 1).

The Eighth Step announced another batch of new concerts for Proctors’ Education Center in Schenectady, including the Sultans of Swing with special guest sitarist Anwar Khurchid at 7:30pm on Friday, May 20 ($24 in advance3; $35 Gold Circle); guitarist David Jacobs-Strain and harmonicat Bob Beach at 7:30pm on Saturday, May 21 ($24 in advance; $35 Gold Circle); and singer-songwriter Tom Russell in support of his new CD The Rose of Roscrea at 7pm on Thursday, June 30 ($28 in advance; $40 Gold Circle).

The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield has added three new concerts – Journey tribute band Voyage at 8pm on Friday, May 6 ($20, $25 & $30), the award-winning Quebec-based progressive folk group Le Vent du Nord at 8pm on Thursday, May 26 ($35) and the Eagles tribute band Hotel California at 8pm on Thursday, June 2 ($30 & $45).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Troy Savings Bank Music Hall has added a concert by Local 518 singer-songwriter Matt Maguire to benefit the American Heart Association and Circles of Mercy, as well as an evening of comedy featuring Corey Holcomb & Friends.

Pittsfield’s Barrington Stage Company has announced a pair of cabaret shows for the summer season. Amanda McBroom and Ann Hampton Callaway team up in “Divalicious” at 8pm on Monday, July 25, and Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley serve up “Broadway and Beyond: Reprise Edition” at 8pm on Monday, August 8. Tickets for each show at $40 & $52; $80 VIP.
