MUSIC: Straight No Chaser @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. Neither strait-laced nor straight-faced, the cappella group brings their New Old Fashioned Tour to town – and they still ain’t got no band… Expect to hear voices-only renditions of songs be everyone from Bob Dylan to Radiohead, from the Zac Brown Band to the Weeknd. 7:30pm. $29.50, $39.50 & $49.50.

THEATER: “The Lion King” @ Proctors, Schenectady. The winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, is helmed by director Julie Taymor, who brings to life a story filled with hope and adventure set against an amazing backdrop of stunning visuals.
