UPDATE: MOVE Music Festival Announces More Bands

New Madrid – based out of Athens, Georgia – has been added to the line-up for the MOVE Music Festival, the three-day fest slated to take place at a variety of downtown Albany venues from April 22-24. The band will be previewing selections from their upcoming album magnetkingmagnetqueen on Normaltown Records, slated for release on April 29. “Knots,” the album’s first music video is on view above.

Other bands recently announced for the fest include Skaters, Eastbound Jesus, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Mirk, Roots of Creation, Sirsy, New Red Scare, Flakjacket, Ampevene, TurboGoth, Shane Guerrette, Basic Cable Preachers, usLights, the Parlor, Rechorduroys and from Canada, Arkells.

Also announced as participants in the fest’s panel discussions are Gary Chetkof (principal owner of WDST-FM in Woodstock, founder of the Mountain Jam Music Festival in Hunter and the Speed of Sound Music Festival in Poughkeepsie, as well as the co-founder of the Taste of Country Music Festival in Hunter), Joseph Miller (of Strike Audio) and Peter Iselin (talent manager and Vice President of Finance/Business Affairs at Q-Factory).

And submissions are now being accepted for the second annual MOVE Music Festival Video Awards Show, which is scheduled to take place at the Madison Theater in Albany at 6pm on Sunday, April 24.
