“I think is was ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star’ on the violin. It was my first recital, and my step-dad accompanied me on piano. I played all of the Suzuki variations on ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.’ Of course, that’s every Suzuki student’s first recital piece. I was maybe five or six years old.”

Fiddler Elana James rosins up her bow to fire up her Austin-based hot jazz/western swing trio, Hot Club of Cowtown, at The Linda in Albany at 8pm on Thursday (March 3). Tickets are $20.
