MUSIC: Marshall Crenshaw & the Bottle Rockets @ the Iron Horse Music Hall, Northampton. Featuring an opening set by the Bottle Rockets and then another set with them serving as Crenshaw’s backing band in a career-spanning set of his best tunes. 7pm. $25.

MUSIC: Professor Louie & the Crowmatix @ the Hudson River Music Hall, Hudson Falls. The Woodstock band celebrates the release of their new album, Music From Hurley Mountain. 3pm.

EVENT: “PostSecret: The Show” @ Proctors’ GE Theatre, Schenectady. With original music, recorded voices, projected images and video, it’s an immersive experience as three actors guide the audience through a crowd-sourced narrative of the stories behind some of the most sexual, sad, funny and controversial – many of which have never been seen before. 1:30pm. $30; $20 students.

THEATER: “Zora” @ UAlbany Performing Arts Center, Albany. American Place Theatre’s theatrical biography of Zora Neale Hurston is performed by Cheryl Howard, capturing the extraordinary spirit of the “Queen of the Harlem Renaissance” and inviting the audience into her exemplary life — rich with folklore, intimate portraits of her contemporaries and excerpts from her significant body of literary work. 3pm. $20; $15 students & seniors.

THEATER: “Naked Influence” @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. It’s a world premiere! Suzanna Bradbeer’s play delves into into the world of strip clubs for a spellbinding tale about a charismatic exotic dancer who finds herself engulfed in a doomed relationship with a congressman. 2pm. MUSIC: The Community Music Space’s Young Performers Showcase @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. on Sunday, Located at the Chocolate Factory in Red Hook, the Community Music Space is an artistic educational center that provides a voice for music and acting in the Hudson Valley. Its goal is to prepare people for a creative life as well as refining and building skills for professional and aspiring artists. 6pm.
