CABARET: Rhyme on My Hands: A Biography in Song @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. Accompanied by Malcolm Kogut on piano, the wry Byron Nilsson serves up an amusing musical autobiography via the songs of Noel Coward, Flanders & Swann, Tom Lehrer and other musically-inclined comic geniuses. 3pm. $18.

MUSIC: Albany Symphony Orchestra @ Skidmore College’s Zankel Music Center, Saratoga Springs. It’s “Star Warriors: the Opera!” featuring music by Verdi, Puccini, Mozart, Donizetti and others. 3pm.

THEATER: “Rogers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella” @ Proctors, Schenectady. The Tony Award-winning musical from the creators of “South Pacific” and “The Sound of Music” will delight audiences with its contemporary take on the classic fairy tale. 2pm. $20-$80. Through Sunday.

STORYTELLING: Word Plays @ Proctors’ Fenimore Gallery, Schenectady. The Story Circle offers an afternoon of stories on the theme of “stormy weather.” Featuring Siri Allison, Alden (Joe) Doolittle, Kate Dudding, Marni Gillard, Colette Odell and Sandy Schuman. 2pm. $12.

THEATER: Original One Act Play Festival @ Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Averill Park. The Circle Theatre Players present an evening of eight short plays by eight playwrights, directed by eight directors. Comedies, dramas, mysteries… It’s all a surprise. 2:30pm. $12; $8 under age 18.
