The folks at MASS MoCA in North Adams promised a first-class line-up of talent last month when they originally announced the upcoming High Mud Comedy Fest. And now that the headliners have been revealed, it certainly looks like they’ve lived up to their promise.

Headlining the two-day festival – which is slated to take place at MASS MoCA’s Hunter Center on Friday and Saturday, March 11 & 12 – will be the uncompromising and provocative Tig Notaro.

The fest will be hosted by NPR’s Ophira Eisenberg and feature Brooklyn/Hollywood-based live wire Sean Patton. More national and regional talent will fill stages, including the return of absurdist comic Dave Hill and a Berkshire-based comedy slate organized by and including the hilarious Tom Attila Lewis, North Adams-based humorist Seth Brown and Adams’ own Mark Jagiello.

In addition to two nights of stand-up at the Hunter Center, the fest will include an afternoon of comedy films and shorts, as well as post-mainstage, late-night, laugh-filled gigs at various venues around North Adams, including the Mohawk Tavern, Desperados and the Freight Yard Pub.

All-festival passes are currently available, priced at $42 in advance; $55 at the door; $32 students; $75 preferred.
