The Troy Savings Bank Music Hall has added the Punch Brothers to its 2015-2016 concert season line-up. Led by Chris Thile – mandolin master, composer, recipient of the MacArthur Foundation “Genius Award” and the man who take over as host of “A Prairie Home Companion” next September – the band headlined at FreshGrass at MASS MoCA last Friday night, and they’ll be returning to Greater Nippertown for a concert at the Music Hall at 8pm on Thursday, December 10.

Also featuring fiddler Gabe Witcher, banjoist Noam Pikelny, guitarist Chris Eldridge and bassist Paul Kowert, the band brings their dizzying amalgam of bluegrass and contemporary acoustic chamber music to town in support of their new album, The Phosphorescent Blues, produced by T Bone Burnett.

Priced at $39 & $49, tickets are currently available exclusively to Music Hall members and will go sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (September 25).
