THEATER/MUSIC: “The Red Guitar” @ Hubbard Hall, Cambridge. Written and performed by John Sheldon, this is a musical monologue of the history of rock and roll as he lived it, from early childhood to present day: becoming Van Morrison’s lead guitarist at 17; a songwriter for James Taylor; a chance encounter with Jimi Hendrix. Equal parts music and storytelling, it’s funny, poignant and, in the end, a story of personal transformation. 8pm. Also at 2pm on Sunday.
