MUSIC: Beausoleil @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. Led by the veteran fiddler Michael Doucet, the multiple Grammy Award-winning Cajun band has been making great Louisiana music (and more than two dozen albums) for more than 40 years now. 8pm. $30.

MUSIC: Bob Schneider @ WAMC-FM’s The Linda, Albany. The Texas troubadour is the most awarded singer-songwriter in Austin’s history, winning more than 30 Austin Music Awards over the course of his ongoing career. 8pm. $20.

An almost-the-end-of-summer outdoor celebration with country music by Big Sky Country; line dancing, contests, mechanical bull rides, food vendors and a wide range of bourbon tastings (including lots of Jack Daniels variations). 5:30pm. $30 (includes three draft beers, bourbon tastings, a $5 food voucher toward purchase at any vendor and all entertainment); $15 designated driver.

MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: Here’s to the Heroes @ Vapor, Saratoga Springs. The benefit concert for Operation Adopt A Soldier, an organization that benefits local soldiers and their families, features music from three up-and-coming country singers – James Otto, Mo Pitney and Josh Dorr. 7pm. $10.

MUSIC: Bloodshot Bill & the Hick-Ups @ the Low Beat, Albany. The rip-snortin’ one-man rockabilly/blues band. With Adam & the Conglomerates and Nick Lesson. 8pm.
