BURLESQUE/FUNDRAISER: Bing Bamboo Room Burlesque @ the Low Beat, Albany. A special benefit performance in honor of Erick R. James, a Bing Bamboo Burlesque family member, who died in November following a car accident. He was 37 years old. All proceeds will go to the Erick R. James ’99 Scholar Athlete Award at RPI. Doors at 7pm. $20.

MUSIC: David Torn @ the Falcon, Marlboro. The ever-intrepid guitarist, producer, improviser, film composer and soundscape artist returns with only sky, an album recorded at EMPAC at RPI in Troy that explores the sonic edges of what one man and a guitar can create, a solo recording of almost orchestral atmosphere. 7pm. Donations encouraged.

MUSIC: Ganglion @ the Upstate Artists Guild, Albany. The Albany Sonic Arts Collective presents the duo of Ben Miller (guitars, electronics) and Matt Weston (percussion, electronics). With solo bassist Robin Rhodes and Case. 8pm. $5.
