The exceptionally soulful and spiritual music was well supported by Strickland’s virtuoso bandmates, including the dueling saxophones of brother Marcus Strickland and Jaleel Shaw, bassist extraordinaire Linda Oh and pianist Theo Hill (Nippertown native and Albany High School grad). With their evocative, illuminating music, the band led the grateful audience on a deeply spiritual, rewarding journey.

Opening the show was singer-songwriter Akie Bermiss, accompanying himself on piano.
