New shows on the calendar for the Low Beat in Albany include Pete Francis (of Dispatch) with the Funky Dawgz Brass Band at 8pm on Friday, April 24 ($13) and the Figgs’ record release party at 9pm on Friday, June 5 ($10).

UPDATE: Lifehouse has been added to the bill with Nickelback at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. So, now you’re excited, right?

The Bearsville Theater in Woodstock has added a bunch of new concerts including a pair of performances by soul-rocker Danielia Cotton with Adrien Reju at 9pm on Fridays, February 27 and March 27 ($10). Also coming up are bluesmen Slam Allen and Joe Beesmer at 9pm on Saturday, February 28 ($15); pop singer Donna Lewis, who celebrates the release of her new David Torn-produced album Brand New Day, at 9pm on Friday, March 13 ($TBA); the David Bromberg Quintet at 8pm on Sunday, March 22 ($45, $55 & $70); and Tennessee-based prog rockers Glass Hammer with Ciruline at 8pm on Friday, April 24 ($20 in advance; $27 at the door).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Rhiannon Giddens – of the Carolina Chocolate Drops and the New Basement Tapes – is headed into The Egg in Albany in support of her just-released T Bone Burnett-produced debut solo album, Tomorrow Is My Day. Bhi Bhiman is slated to open the show. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (February 13).

Megan Hilty – acclaimed Broadway performer (“Wicked”) and television actress (“Smash”) – will be the featured vocalist for the pops concert by the Philadelphia Orchestra at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Thursday, August 13. Steven Reineke will conduct the evening’s performance.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: British singer-songwriter-hitmaker Ed Sheeran is scheduled to make his Albany concert debut at the Times Union Center.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Two more new concerts have been added to The Egg’s calendar – Americana singer-songwriter Jason Isbell with the Hold Steady’s Craig Finn and Gypsy jazz guitarist Stephane Wrembel’s Django A Go-Go 2015. Tickets for both new shows go on sale at 10am on Friday (February 13).

Canadian country-rockers the Sadies are scheduled to blow into Club Helsinki in Hudson at 9pm on Friday, March 20 ($18). Also new on the slate for Club Helsinki is the double-bill of SHEL and Otan Vargas at 9pm on Friday, May 3 ($15 in advance; $18 at the door) and the return of singer-songwriter Heather Maloney at 9pm on Friday, May 8 ($15 in advance; $18 at the door).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The sublime vocalist Cassandra Wilson has been added to the line-up for Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs.

UPDATE: The initial line-up announced for the Sing-Off Live Tour at Proctors in Schenectady at 8pm on Thursday, February 26 featured VoicePlay (from the NBC-TV show’s fourth season) and Street Corner Symphony (from season two). But now a third a cappella group – the Exchange (from this past season) – has also been added to the bill.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Yes, The Egg bolstered its concert season with yet another new concert announcement – the Doors’ guitar hero Robby Krieger and his band. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (February 13).

UPDATE: Ticket prices for recently announced shows at Club Helsinki have been announced. $60 for Jim Dale on Sunday, March 22; $20 in advance ($25 at the door) for Over the Rhine on Friday, April 17; $20 for Sean Rowe with Matthew Fowler on Friday, May 1.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Albany’s Palace Theatre welcomes another Led Zeppelin tribute band, but the difference is that Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience is led by the son of the late Led Zep drummer John Bonham.

OPENERS: Ray Mason has snagged the opening slot for Freedy Johnston at the Low Beat in Albany at 8pm on Thursday, March 19… Mister F has been added to the bill with Kung Fu and Twiddle at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park at 7:30pm on Saturday, April 4… Florida-based singer-songwriter Matthew Fowler has been named as the opening act for Sean Rowe at Club Helsinki in Hudson at 9pm on Friday, May 1.
