THEATER: “How Water Behaves” @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. The world premiere of Sherry Kramer’s zany comedy about the tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive. Directed by Gordon Greenberg. 7:30pm. $20-$60.

MUSIC: Blues Pro Jam 9 @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. Hudson Valley blues stars Slam Allen, Bruce Katz, Rick Knapp, Petey Hop and Sonny Rock lead the freewheeling blues jam. 8pm.

EVENT/FUNDRAISER: “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” @ The Linda, Albany. A celebration of the 45th anniversary of the Pride Center. 6pm. $45 suggested donation.

MUSIC: The Christian McBride Trio @ the Iron Horse Music Hall, Northampton. The virtuoso jazz bassist and his band, pianist Christian Sands and drummer Ulysses Owens, Jr. in support of his latest album Out There. 7pm. $30.

MUSIC: Bucky Pizzarelli & Ed Laub Duo @ the Falcon, Marlboro. For more than six decades, legendary guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli has had a stellar jazz career. COMEDY: The Local Underground Showcase @ the Comedy Works, Albany. Featuring some of the best undiscovered, up-and-coming comedians from all over the Northeast as well as a performance by that weekend’s nationally touring headliner. 6:30pm. $5.

THEATER: “Tigers Be Still” @ Curtain Call Theatre, Latham. Carol Max directs the regional premiere of Kim Rosenstock’s quirky, endearing dark comedy that follows the misadventures of Sherry Wickman, an unemployed, overwhelmed art therapist hiding out in her childhood bed. 7:30pm. $24.
