This week’s avalanche of new concert announcements continues with four more new shows that have been added to the concert calendar at Proctors in Schenectady.

Heading up the new additions is comedic rapper (and former UAlbany student) Awkwafina, who grabs the spotlight at the GE Theatre 8pm on Saturday, February 7. Putting the ha-ha in hip-hop, Awkwafina has made a name for herself with her YouTube clips, her featured role on MTV’s “Girl Code” and her debut album, Yellow Ranger. Tickets are $20; VIP tickets for $30.

If you’re looking for more laughs, stand-up comedian Jared Logan headlines the latest installment of the Pretty Much the Best Comedy Show series at Proctors’ Underground at 8pm on Saturday, January 24, in support of his recently released debut album, My Brave Battle. Comics Shane Torres, Ethan Ullman and Thomas Attila Lewis will also be featured. Tickets are $15.

In addition, Proctors’ multi-cultural world music series, Celebration of Rhythm, returns to the GE Theatre for another season with two more concerts. Curated by master percussionist Brian Melick, the concerts spotlight the international sounds of the Local 518 with the double-bill match-ups of North Indian Music (featuring the sitar and tabla duo of Veena & Devesh Chandra) and reggae band Robanic at 7:30pm on Thursday, February 26, followed by drum troupe Ensemble Congeros with Latin jazz faves Sensemaya at 7:30pm on Thursday, April 23. Tickets for both shows are $15.
