MUSIC: Sarah Borges @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. Twang-rocker Sarah Borges teams up with Girls Guns & Glory for a rollicking double-bill of Boston-based roots-rockin’ and honky-tonkin’. 9pm. $20.

MUSIC: Popa Chubby @ the Van Dyck, Schenectady. The big blues rocker brings his band back to the Van Dyck for a show celebrating his 25 years on the road and his new album, I’m Feelin’ Lucky, as well as the music of the Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix. 7 & 9:30pm. $22. Also at 7 & 9:30pm on Saturday.
