MUSIC: Nick Lowe’s Quality Holiday Revue @ The Egg, Albany. It’s the most eagerly awaited Christmas show of the season with hits, holiday songs and good cheer from the Jesus of Cool. Nick Lowe performs solo and backed by those merry masked merauders Los Straitjackets (led by Nippertown native Eddie Angel), who will play some twang-flavored holiday treats of their own. But it’s something of a bittersweet celebration as Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Ian McLagan – who was slated to be the opening act – died on the day that the tour was launched. The Cactus Blossoms will now open the show. 8pm. $35. GO HERE for more info… UPDATE: This show is now officially sold out.

MUSIC: The Figgs @ the Low Beat, Albany. Yes, it’s the Figgs’ annual holiday homecoming bash – this time celebrating the 20th anniversary of their classic Lo Fi at Society High album. With Blockhouses, led by former Figg Guy Lyons. 8pm. $10. GO HERE for more info…
