Earlier this month, we announced a batch of new pop and rock concerts for the 2015 summer season at Tanglewood. Now the Lenox shed has bolstered its season with another concert announcement.

Tony Award-winning singer-actress Idina Menzel — the Broadway star of “Rent,” “Wicked” and “If/Then,” as well as the singer of the ubiquitous “Let It Go” from the hit Disney animated film, “Frozen” – is slated to return to the Koussevitzky Music Shed at Tanglewood for a concert at 7pm on Saturday, August 29. Menzel previously performed at Tanglewood with the Boston Pops during the 2010 season.

Ticket prices for Menzel’s upcoming concert run from $24.50 for lawn general admission to $149.50 for premium reserved seating in the amphitheater. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale to the general public on Friday, December 5.

Obviously, Menzel’s come a long, long way since making her Nippertown debut at Valentine’s Music Hall in support of her debut album, Still I Can’t Be Still, way back in 1998…
