18 bands…
8 hours…
2 venues…
1 big punk fest…

It’s all happening on Saturday (November 15) when the Upstate’s Alright Underground Punk Fest takes over the stages at next-door-neighboring Albany rock clubs the Low Beat and Pauly’s Hotel. Punk bands from all across the state from Buffalo (Blobs) to Rochester (Rotten) to Syracuse (Hunted Down) to Cohoes (Chloroform Party) and nearly every other town along the way gather on the corner of Central and Quail for an eight-hour, non-stop mosh-pit.

Capping it all off is a reunion of Capitle, Albany’s pioneering Kings of the 30-Second Punk Song, led by Jim Romano at the microphone. After many, many moons on hiatus, Capitle reunited to play ScumFest III back in August, and by all reports, Capitle was as potent and powerful as ever.

Here’s the full line-up of bands slated to perform: Capitle, Sadistic Gerbils, Rotten, Hunted Down, Herpes, Blobs, Silver Dagger, Spread ‘Em, Abider, Knyghts of Fuzz, Scuzz, Ends Meet, Wet Dreams, Throat Culture, Irradiated Beef, Chloroform Party, Chakra Abuse and Open Sores.

The music gets underway at 3pm on Saturday, and admission is $15.

But chances are that you’re gonna want to get to the Low Beat earlier in order to check out the Upstate’s Alright Punk Flea Market, which runs from 12noon-3pm with tables full of punk-related merch to buy, sell or trade – records, tapes, posters, t-shirts, boots, pins, etc.

ADDITIONAL UPCOMING FESTIVALS:

H2O Homeless & Hunger Outreach Show @ the Low Beat & Pauly’s Hotel, Albany, 11/14/14
Bridge Jazz Fest @ Troy Savings Bank Music Hall & College of St. Rose’s Massry Center, Troy & Albany, 2/27&28/15
A Taste of Country Festival @ Hunter Mountain, Hunter, 6/12-14/15
