Banjo master Tony Trischka makes a tour stop at Levon Helm’s Barn in Woodstock at 8pm on Saturday, November 29. Accompanied by shape-note singer/multi-instrumentalist Tim Eriksen and vocalist Zoe Darrow, Trischka will celebrate the holiday season with Glory Shone Around, a concert based on his 1995 Rounder Records album, Glory Shone Around: A Christmas Collection. Tickets are $30 & $40.

Moroccan-born, Brooklyn-based hip-hipster French Montana grabs the spotlight at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park at 9pm on Saturday, December 6, in support of his new album, Excuse My French. Rowdy Rebel opens thru show. Tickets are on sale now, priced at 25 in advance; $28 at the door.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Veteran romantic crooner Englebert Humperdinck returns to the Palace Theatre in Albany. Tickets are $36, $46, $56 & $76.

Neil Diamond tribute band Simply Diamond will be singing “Song Sung Blue” and other delights at Vapor Nightclub in Saratoga Springs for two shows (6 & 8pm) on Thursday, December 4. Tickets are $20.

The recently opened Bridge Street Theatre in Catskill is hosting a number of concerts, in addition to plays, cabaret and variety shows. Hudson Valley bluegrass band C.B. Smith & the Lucky Devils will celebrate the release of their new album, Bluebird, with a CD release party at 7:30pm on Saturday, November 15 ($15; $10 students & seniors). And Michael Benedict’s Bopitude fire up an evening of jazz when they pay tribute to the music of trumpeter Kenny Dorham in concert at 8pm on Saturday, November 22.

Led by founding members Patrick Murphy and Steve Twigger, the Gaelic Storm infuses traditional Celtic music with modern influences, updating the genre for a new generation of fans raised on rock, country and folk. Gaelic Storm storms into the Calvin Theatre in Northampton, at 8pm on Saturday, February 28. Tickets area $20.
