FILM/MUSIC: “Metropolis” @ Albany Public Library, Albany. Fritz Lang’s 1927 futuristic masterwork is accompanied by Albany post-rockers lastdayshining, who provide a dynamic new original soundtrack performed live in the library. 7pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Thousand Foot Krutch @ the Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Park. Canadian Christian rockers bring their Born This Way Tour to town. With We As Human and Righteous Vendetta. 8pm. $20.

MUSIC: The Karen Mantler Trio @ the Falcon, Marlboro. The composer-vocalist-instrumentalist has worked with Steven Bernstein, Eric Mingus, Hiram Bullock and Arturo O’Farrill, as well as Terry Adams, Jack Bruce and Elvis Costello. Mantler will be joined by bassist Kato Hideki and Doug Wiesleman on guitar and bass clarinet. 7pm. Donations encouraged.
