Real Good for FREE: Live! FolkLife Concert Series Continues @ Crandall Library

The Live! Folklife Concert Series continue this fall with three more free concerts at the Folklife Center at the Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls. The concerts take place at 7pm on Thursdays.

THURSDAY (OCTOBER 9)
THE BOXCAR LILIES
The Boxcar Lilies have quickly made a name for themselves with their signature mix of folk, country and bluegrass-tinged Americana music featuring innovative harmonies and top-notch songwriting. Jenny Goodspeed, Katie Clarke and Stephanie Marshall accompany themselves on guitar, clawhammer banjo, ukulele, bass and washboard, they have brought their uniquely warm sound and energetic stage presence to venues up and down the Eastern seaboard.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16
LONG TIME COURTING
Long Time Courting is Shannon Heaton (flute, accordion, vocals), Liz Simmons (guitar, vocals), Valerie Thompson (cello, vocals) and Katie McNally (fiddle, vocals). These four talented woman offer an extraordinary blend of neo-traditional Irish, Scottish and American music that showcases each musician’s versatility, creativity and mastery. Exquisite vocal harmonies combine with formidable instrumental prowess to create music that is both playful and richly satisfying.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 23
RABBIT IN THE RYE
Rabbit in the Rye is a progressive folk-rock trio from Hamilton NY, featuring Joseph Mettler (guitar, harmonica), Alexander Lavon (bass) and Brendan O’Connor (percussion, mandolin).
