The Egg in Albany has announced the schedule of performances in its Family Wonders series, which includes the annual holiday concert by Local 518 faves the Zucchini Brothers, as well as a chance to sing-along with a Grammy Award winner.

The Zucchini Brothers Christmas show has been an annual tradition at The Egg for more than a decade, and it will be returning once again at 2pm on Sunday, December 14. Tickets are $12.

And if you’ve ever wanted to sing along (or play along) with a Grammy Award winner, you’ll get the opportunity when Dan Zanes brings his Song Gusto Hour to The Egg at 3pm on Sunday, November 2. The former leader of the alt-rock band the Del Fuegos has found his niche as a children’s music entertainer who appeals equally to parents, and his Song Gusto Hour is a loose, festive chance for everyone to join in the music-making fun. Songbooks will be provided, and people are invited to bring their instruments. Tickets are $18.

Of course, as usual for all Family Wonders performances, adults are admitted free when accompanied by a child. (One adult per child, please.)

Tickets for both concerts – as well as the rest of the Family Wonders performances – are currently available only to members of The Egg. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday (September 16).
