The Saratoga Wine and Food Festival
The Saratoga Performing Arts Center has wrapped up another summer of concerts, but there’s still one more big event on the calendar this weekend before SPAC closes the gates on the 2014 season.

The Saratoga Wine & Food Festival takes over the SPAC grounds this weekend for three days of dining and drinking.

Chef Marc Murphy (of the Food Network show “Chopped”) will be the host and judge at the BBQ, Blues & Brews event from 7-10pm Friday (September 5), which features a “competition-style grill off in which the Capital Region’s top chefs face off against Manhattan Grill masters.” In addition, Friday’s event will feature a variety of craft beers, wines and spirits, as well as music by acclaimed jazz bassist Ben Williams and his band Sound Effect. Tickets are $85.

The festival’s main event takes place from 1-4pm Saturday. The Grand Tasting features “unparalleled wines, spirits and authentic products” from Nippertown’s top restaurants, as well as world-class seminars including Master Wine Connoisseur, Kevin Zraly’s World-exploration Wine Seminar, a Connoisseur Tent and an expanded Culinary Tent with innovative demonstrations. Music by the Hot Club of Saratoga. Tickets are $85

The fest wraps up on Sunday with the In the Groove Jazz Brunch at 11:30am at the Saratoga National Golf Course’s Prime Restaurant, boasting an exciting selection of classic brunch cocktails along with stations from six of Angelo Mazzone’s finest restaurants. Tickets are $75.

BUT WAIT… We’re giving away a pair of FREE tickets to Friday night’s BBQ, Brews & Blues event and another FREE pair of tickets to Saturday’s Grand Tasting. To enter the contest, just post a comment below. Please indicate which event you’d like to attend (or both). Please leave your email address, too. We won’t publish it, but we’ll use it to contact you if you win. Deadline to enter in 10am on Friday (September 5), and the winners will be selected at random and notified on Friday morning. Good luck! Congratulations to the winners, who have been notified by email.
