Up here in Nippertown, the only one way to get across the mighty Hudson River is, well, take me to the bridge! Hence the name of the new Bridge Jazz Fest, a two-night event coming up in February that will stretch from one side of the Hudson to the other.
On Friday, February 27, the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall will host performances by the Marcus Roberts Trio, the Anat Cohen Quartet and more TBA. And the following night (Saturday, February 28), the Massry Center for the Arts at Albany’s College of Saint Rose will feature the Fred Hersch Trio, Cecile Mclorin Salvant, the Gretchen Parlato/Alan Hampton Duo and more.
Both concerts are scheduled to start at 5:30pm. Single night tickets are $40; $30 students. All-fest two-night tickets are $60; $40 students.
