The Egg Announces Four More New Concerts

The Egg has added four more new concerts to its fall concert series. Tickets for the four new shows are currently available only to members of The Egg and go on sale to the general public on Friday (July 18).

Saturday, October 4, 7:30pm, $29.50
Marc Broussard performs his distinctive mix of soul, blues, R&B, rock, pop and Southern roots music in support of his new album A Life Worth Living.

Tuesday, October 7, 7:30pm, $34
Two of South Africa’s true freedom fighters and renowned musical icons, Hugh Masekela and Vusi Mahlasela celebrate the 20th anniversary of the end of apartheid with this special concert. Hugh Masekela is a legendary jazz artist who hit the top of the pop charts in 1968 with “Grazin’in the Grass,” and Vusi Mahlasela – simply known as ‘The Voice’ in South Africa – is celebrated for his distinct, poetic, and optimistic songs. Separately, they are two of the most powerful performers on the planet – and together, well, they’re a tour-de-force.

Friday, November 14, 8pm, $39.50
Pianist and composer Hiromi, whose passionate and incendiary keyboard work has been a shining light on the jazz landscape since 2003, appears with a powerhouse rhythm section – bassist Anthony Jackson and drummer Steve Smith.

Saturday, December 6, 7:30pm and Sunday, December 7, 2pm, $24
A down-home concert of holiday songs and stories with Christopher Shaw and Bridget Ball that features “The Mountain Snow Orchestra” – fiddler John Kirk, guitarist Kevin McKrell and percussionist Brian Melick.
