MUSIC: Ester Rada @ WAMC-FM’s The Linda, Albany. Her cross-cultural sound is a deep reflection of the Israeli born Ethiopian’s heritage. Growing up in a highly religious Jewish family in more than modest conditions in Israel, gave Rada the drive to change her way of life and fulfill her dream of creating music. Her sound has been described as “gracefully combining Ethio-Jazz, funk, soul and r&b, with mixed undertones of black grooves.” 8pm. $15.

MUSIC: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah @ BSP Lounge, Kingston. Alec Ounsworth leads the Philadelphia-based indie rockers in support of their brand new album, Only Run. With Stagnant Pools. 9pm. $25.

MUSIC: Separated at Birth @ the Low Beat, Albany. The Local 518 rock band has grown out of the unique musical partnership between veteran Hammond B-3 organist-songwriter-vocalist Tony Perrino and 16-year-old guitarist-organist-pianist Jared Alpern. 8pm.

MUSIC: Blues Pro Jam @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. Guitarist-singer Tas Cru leads the sixth Blues Pro Jam. 8pm.

THEATER: “Fully Committed” @ the Wood Theater, Glens Falls. Adirondack Theatre Festival kicks off its 20th anniversary season with Becky Mode’s homegrown comedy starring Sam Lloyd (“Scrubs”) as an aspiring actor who works as the reservationist at a posh Manhattan restaurant. In a tour de force performance, he also plays close to 40 callers, including a wealthy socialite, a gangster, a Japanese tourist, and a supermodel’s frenzied assistant. 7:30pm. $15-$40.
