MUSIC: johnnyswim @ The Egg, Albany. Singer-songwriters Amanda Sudano (daughter of Donna Summer) and Abner Ramirez perform an engaging evening of folk, soul, blues and pop music from their new album Diamonds. 7:30pm. $24.

MUSIC: Ben O’Shea Band @ Rotterdam Senior Citizens Center, Rotterdam. The trombonist is joined by his bandmates – Brian Patneaude and Dave Fisk (saxophones), Dave Gleason (piano), Mike Lawrence (bass) and Andy Hearn (drums) – for the next installment of the Rotterdam Summer Concert Series. 7pm. FREE.

CABARET: Songwriters Cabaret @ Barrington Stage Co.’s Mr. Finn’s Cabaret, Pittsfield. Composers Will Aronson and Noel Carey showcase selections of songs from two new musicals in-the-making. Accompanied by a superb cast of singers, Carey wil floor you with songs from “Marjoe,” based on the child evangelist who was the subject of a well-known documentary. Aronson will dazzle you with his music, including a modern-day comedy based on a classic fairy tale. 8pm. $20.

THEATER ON FILM: “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” @ Spectrum 8 Theatres, Albany. A National Theatre of london production. 12noon. $15; $12 for ages 12 & under.
