The Egg Announces Yet Another New Concert

Yes, it’s only Tuesday morning, and the fine folks at The Egg have just announced the third new concert of the week.

In celebration of their 44th anniversary, perennial classic-rock favorites, America, will be making their way into Albany’s orb-shaped performance venue at 8pm on Saturday, November 29, led by founding members Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell.

Formed in London, the band scored their first major hit with “A Horse With No Name,” featuring the trademark, harmony-laden folk-rock style which earned them the 1972 Grammy Award as Best New Artist. They followed up their initial success with a number of additional hits, including “I Need You,” “Ventura Highway,” “Don’t Cross the River,” “Tin Man,” “Lonely People,” “Sister Golden Hair” and “You Can Do Magic.”

Priced at $49.50, $59.50 & $84.50, tickets are currently available to members of The Egg and will go on sale to the general public at 11am on Friday (June 20).
