Curtains Going Up on the Uncle Sam Smackdown @ ACCR

Calling all Theater Makers… Uncle Sam wants you!

On Friday, June 27 the Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy is hosting the Uncle Sam Smackdown in conjunction with Troy Night Out. If you’re a theater maker or a performer, you can submit an original three-to-five minute performance piece that represents or reflects some aspect of Uncle Sam, the iconic meat packer-turned-myth and the most famous son of Troy. Be it inspiration, adoration or protest, let Uncle Sam be your muse. GO HERE for submission information…

Selected performance pieces will be presented in the ACCR black box theater during Troy Night Out on June 27. The performances are open to the public, and admission is free.
