MUSIC: Melora Creager & the Calico Indians @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. The multi-instrumentalist and leader of the cello-rock band Rasputina leads her new band – including stand-up bassist Chops La Conté, Jack Terricloth of World/Inferno Friendship Society, Rasputina cellist Daniel DeJesús and the Minivans’ drummer Jim Krewson – in their eclectic mix of hard rock, rockabilly, Gypsy-punk and roots music. 8pm.

MUSIC: Bastille @ Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Park. Led by ringmaster Dan Smith, the breakout U.K. band topped Billboard’s Alternative Songs and Adult Alternative Songs charts with the smash hit “Pompeii.” With Wolf Gang. 8pm. $20. UPDATE: This show has been officially sold out for months.

MUSIC: Careers @ the Low Beat, Albany. Led by Steve Stanley and Meagan Duffy, the indie foursome will be showcasing selections from their new EP. With the Firs and Carousel.
