The Palace Theatre Announces New Concert

I guess it was inevitable, given the current climate of tribute-band mania and Tuesday’s release of the “new” Michael Jackson album, Xscape. From beyond the grave, the King of Pop is about to reclaim his throne, and dance with the rest of the zombies from his “Thriller” video. Meanwhile, everybody else is gonna be jumpin’ on the bandwagon…

At 7pm on Sunday, June 29, “Thank You, Michael: The Michael Jackson Experience” will take over the stage of Albany’s Palace Theatre. Starring Delisco James – who was crowned “The Entertainer” by Wayne Newton on the E! Network’s reality TV series – the show recreates many of Jackson’s most electrifying moments, from the early days with his brothers in the Jackson Five to his ground-breaking performance of “Billie Jean” on “Motown’s 25th Anniversary Special.” The show’s finale is a live recreation of the epic video “Thriller.”

Priced at $29.50, $34.50 & $44.50, tickets are slated to go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (May 16).

Who’s Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band will be returning to perform as part of the free Rockin’ On the River concert series at Troy’s Riverfront Park at 5pm on Wednesday, August 13.
