Two New Shows Announced for the Palace Theatre

The folks at the Palace Theatre have announced a couple of new shows.

The Palace will host “Side by Side by Sondheim” at 8pm on Friday, May 29. A benefit concert for the Palace and Albany’s Park Playhouse, the musical tribute to one of Broadway’s foremost composer-lyricists features songs culled from Sondheim’s hit shows “Company,” “Follies” and “A Little Night Music,” as well as collaborations with Broadway greats Leonard Bernstein (“West Side Story”), Jule Styne (“Gypsy”) and Richard Rodgers (“Do I Hear a Waltz?”). All tickets are priced at $25 and are currently available to the general public.

Meanwhile, best-selling author and two-time Grammy Award-winning stand-up comedian Lewis Black brings his The Rant Is Due 2014 Fall Tour to Albany’s Palace at 8pm on Thursday, October 16. Priced at $29.50, $49.50 & $59.50, tickets for the show are slated to go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (May 2).
