Bluesman Keb’ Mo’ returned for his annual visit to The Egg in Albany, and although it was billed as a solo show, he had a couple of surprises up his sleeve this time around, bringing along drummer Casey Wasner and bassist/cellist Tim Shinneness to add a bit of sparkle to his deep-rooted Americana tunes.

  1. Richard Brody says:

Great photos as always. Did you get one of Tom Shinneness playing his Gibson Harp Guitar? An incredible instrument that has a traditional 6 string bottom and a 10 string harp top that Tom joked was very useful when the bass player doesn’t show up. The show featured a number of songs from Keb’s forthcoming album “Blues Americana” including the dark humor of “The Worst Is Yet to Come”, comic reflection on being changed in a romance, “The Old Me Better”, and a tale about how chain stores have changed our towns that included the line “It was a high price to pay to get more for your money today”. A great musical evening.
