SPOKEN WORD/MUSIC: David Greenberger: Theater of One @ Skidmore College’s Tang Museum, Saratoga Springs. In conjunction with the One Upon exhibition, the Tang’s mezzanine is transformed into an intimate theater space where one audience member at a time will listen to a two-minute performance by monologist David Greenberger and his band A Strong Dog. 11am-2pm.

MUSIC: Porches. @ The Low Beat, Albany. With special guests the Slaughterhouse Chorus and Soft Powers. 8:30pm. $8.

THEATER: “Gypsy: A Musical Fable” @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany.”Everything’s Coming Up Roses…” Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill directs the classic musical based on the memoirs of famed stripper Gypsy Rose Lee, featuring a cast of 23 from Broadway star Mary Callanan to local TV personality Benita Zahn. 7:30pm. $20-$65. Through April 13.

ARTIST TALK: The Malloy Visiting Artist Lecture @ Skidmore College’s Filene Recital Hall, Saratoga Springs. Painter Joan Snyder, a MacArthur Foundation grant recipient and an artist known for a willingness to experiment with materials and technique, will deliver Skidmore’s Malloy Visiting Artist Lecture. 6pm. FREE.

MUSIC: Noontime Organ Concert Series @ Proctors, Schenectady. Featuring Avery Tunningley on Proctors’ mighty Wurlitzer Goldie. 12noon. FREE.

DISCUSSION: “Art and Biography” @ MCLA Gallery 51, North Adams. A discussion about outsider art featuring Jamie Franklin, curator at the Bennington Museum. 5pm. FREE.
