MUSIC: Matt Schofield Trio @ the Falcon, Marlboro. The British guitarist-singer-songwriter-producer Matt Schofield is widely regarded as one of the most distinctive and innovative guitarists to have emerged on the blues scene for several generations, and he lands at the Falcon in support of his new album, Far As I Can See. 7pm. THEATER: “The Book of Mormon” @ Proctors, Schenectady. From Trey Parker and Matt Stone (the creators of “South Park”), it’s the irreverent winner of nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The New York Times called it “the best musical of this century.” Entertainment Weekly called it “the funniest musical of all time.” What else do you need to know? 7:30pm. MUSIC: The Deadbeats @ the Low Beat, Albany. 10pm.

MUSIC: University-Community Symphonic Band @ UAlbany Performing Arts Center’s Arena Theater, Albany. This large ensemble will perform in the round with the audience very close to the performers in this intimate theater setting. 7pm. $6; $3 students & seniors.
