One of the brightest stars on Nippertown’s singer-songwriter scene, Olivia Quillio took home top honors at the Garage 2 Glory: Singer-Songwriter competition at Albany’s College of Saint Rose in 2011 – in a unanimous decision. And soon she was playing everywhere with a rich songbag that included such gems as “The Bomb” and “Easy Lover.” Whether playing barefoot and solo or as a duo or in the short-lived all-star Babe City, Quillio was never less than captivating.

She played one of her last Local 518 gigs last month at the Waterford Public Library before leaving town and heading out to relocate to… Oklahoma City. But before she left, she finally dropped her long-awaited debut studio album, The Bomb. Pick it up, if you haven’t already, and let’s hope that she makes a return visit back here soon…
