EDITOR’S NOTE: Belatedly, it appears that we’ve got a couple of last looks back at 2013. Here’s a wrap-up from uber-fan (and occasional Nippertown contributor) Steve Nover of his fave live music music events:

.) Gary Numan & the three-day Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle, Washington, 8/31-9/2. With 15 stages, it’s easy to see a few bands an hour, but my niece and I were completely riveted and stayed put.
.) Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival @ Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Saratoga Springs, 6/2&3. Many highlights included Buddy Guy, Tony Bennett, McCoy Tyner with John Scofield and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
.) Shuggie Otis @ Neumos, Seattle, Washington, 9/5
.) Todd Rundgren @ The Egg, Albany, 7/30
.) Los Lobos @ The Egg, Albany, 12/3
