Roomful of Teeth Win Grammy Award

The Albany Symphony Orchestra wasn’t the only locally based winner at the Grammy Awards on Sunday (January 26). The a cappella group Roomful of Teeth also walked away with a golden Gramophone trophy for their self-titled album on New Amsterdam Records.

Dedicated to creating new music that incorporates the full range of the singing voice, from bel canto to yodeling to Tuvan throat singing, the ensemble is led by founder and director Brad Wells, who also teaches at Williams College in Williamstown, directing the choral program, overseeing and teaching studio voice, and leading courses in conducting, arranging and voice science and style.
