40 Berkshire Residents Share Their Treasures at the Berkshire Museum [Berkshire on Stage]

Berkshire Collects at the Berkshire Museum

Winter is a perfect time for celebrating the sense of history and fine craftsmanship that are so loved by our neighbors here in the Berkshires. Folks in this area love to collect every imaginable kind of object from rare motorcycles to wind-up toys, exotic insects, vintage guitars, antique toasters, Pez dispensers, and a host of other artifacts and memorabilia. With more than 40 collectors sharing their treasures, the latest exhibit at the Berkshire Museum is both a salute to the long and diverse tradition of collecting that built the Berkshire Museum, and a chance for you to share these unique objects which fascinate so many.

This new exhibition “Berkshire Collects” will have a good long run, too, opening on Saturday (January 25) and remaining on view through May 11. The event is proudly sponsored by Greylock Federal Credit Union.

An opening reception for Berkshire Collects will be held Saturday (January 25) from 5-7pm. Guests can take a first look at the exhibition, meet some of the collectors, and enjoy light refreshments. Admission is $5; free for museum members.
