What Is the Hudson Music & Arts Festival?

Michael Lang – the man who helped launch the 1969 Woodstock festival – is spearheading the effort to bring a three-day music fest – dubbed the Hudson Music and Arts Festival – to Winston Farms in Saugerties, the site of the Woodstock ’94 festival. Plans for the project won approval from the Saugerties Planning Board last month, according to The Times Herald-Record in Middletown.

But nothing is certain yet, and the festival still needs approval from Ulster County and New York State…

If it does happen, the fest is tentatively planned for July 10-13, and plans are that the fest will host 80 rock, electronic, indie and hip-hop acts, with a maximum attendance capacity of 30,000 people. The Hudson Music and Arts Festival is being organized by the Denver-based promotion outfit MCP Presents, who also produce Camp Bisco in Mariaville and CounterPoint in Atlanta.
