The veteran North Country singer-songwriter celebrates the release of his new album, Halfway Home, accompanied by Tony Markellis, Teresina Huxtable and special guests Bob Warren and Joy MacKenzie. MUSIC: Dave Mason’s “Traffic Jam” @ The Egg, Albany. A sight and sound retrospective of the legendary British rock band Traffic as seen from the perspective of the group’s co-founder Dave Mason. The multimedia performance features film clips, behind-the-scenes insights and classic Traffic tunes such as “Feelin’ Alright” and “Dear Mr. Fantasy” played by Mason and his current band. 7:30pm. $34.50. $39.50 & $44.50.

FILM: “The Woman with 5 Elephants” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. Vadim Jendryko’s documentary unravels the mystery behind the life and work of the world’s greatest translator of Russian literature, Svetlana Geier. It is a poetic, precise and revelatory investigation into language, meaning and the tides of history. 1pm. $8; $6 students.

FILM: “Cousin Jules” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. The lost masterwork of director Dominique Benichetti – made in 1973 but unreleased til now – details the daily lives of French farmer Jules and his wife living alone in the countryside. The result is a ravishing, totally immersive work, in which we not only enter into the subjects’ world but also into the very rhythms of their lives. 5pm. $8; $6 students.
