MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: The LateShift @ the Hollow Bar + Kitchen, Albany. It’s a rock ‘n’ roll reunion. It’s a party. It’s a fundraiser. It’s a celebration of the life of Zachary Tyler Warner. And it’s a fundraiser to support a scholarship in his name that will benefit a like-minded music student at Shaker High School. In addition to all admission money, the proceeds from all merchandise sales will also be donated to the scholarship fund. along with all merchandise and CD sales. With the Ashbury and MEGA. 8pm.

MUSIC: Better Pills @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. Brent Gorton and pals celebrate the release of their new album Blood Chant. With Lincoln Money Shot, Small Axe and Gay Tastee. 8pm.

MUSIC: Badfish @ the Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Park. Sublime tribute band. With Ballyhoo and the Meishlunday. 8pm. $20.

FILM: “I Am Divine” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. Director Jeffrey Schwarz’s documentary tells the story of John Waters’ film star. It’s about addiction. It’s about fame. It’s about the quest for the spotlight and artistic respect. Divine’s complete commitment to being and expressing himself perhaps did more to promote notions of freedom and acceptance than he knew. 6pm. $8; $6 student. Through Saturday.

FILM: “Cousin Jules” @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. The lost masterwork of director Dominique Benichetti – made in 1973 but unreleased til now – details the daily lives of French farmer Jules and his wife living alone in the countryside. The result is a ravishing, totally immersive work, in which we not only enter into the subjects’ world but also into the very rhythms of their lives. 7:45pm. $8; $6 students.
